ABOUT
Odd Slice Films is a newly founded sales company dedicated to bold, author-driven, out-of-the-norm documentaries and hybrids.
Odd Slice believes in a collaborative model and full transparency, and works closely with producers and filmmakers on defining the best strategy and marketing campaigns for the release of their films in the worldwide market.
We represent a small catalogue of carefully selected films to our worldwide network of distributors, buyers, festivals, as well as cultural associations, exhibitors and cinemas, to try to reach the largest possible number of audiences.
Martina Droandi is the founder of Odd Slice Films, established in 2025. A dedicated agent for documentary films, she loves working with filmmakers and producers on all things sales: from strategy to contracts to helping great stories meet the right humans.
Her journey began with a BA in Anthropology and Music from SOAS (UK), where her curiosity for people and their worlds gradually turned toward visual anthropology—and eventually, documentary filmmaking. She was awarded a scholarship to the DOCNOMADS joint master's in Documentary Directing, where she quickly realised her real passion wasn’t behind the camera—but in helping films find their place in the world. Connecting stories to audiences, and filmmakers to the market, became her true north.
Eight European countries later, after gaining experience through short film distribution, the Atelier Ludwigsburg-Paris and a seven-month stint at mk2 as a festival assistant, Martina settled in Austria in 2019 to work as Sales & Acquisition Manager at Autlook Filmsales.
She started working on her own since April 2024 as consultant and sales agent, and set up Odd Slice Films during the summer of 2025.
She is an alumna of DOCNOMADS (2015) , Atelier Ludwigsburg-Paris (2018), the Locarno Film Industry Academy (2021), and the International Screen Institute (2025).
